Artsakh Rug
In 1994, when ceasefire was established between Artsakh
and Azerbaijan, Hye Keer was one of the first establishments that supported
Stepanakert Carpet Factory financially. Later, when the Privatization Law passed
in 1999 by the Nagorno Karabagh Parliament, "Artsakh Rug" was the
first privatized enterprise.
At the beginning of our endeavor, in 1999, "Artsakh Rug" factory
had only 25 workers. One of the requirements put forward by the government
was that the number of the workers should not drop below that number. In 2000,
the factory was renovated completely, a new exhibit hall was added to it, and
the number of the workers was raised to 35. The number of the workers increased
continuously. Today, Artsakh Rug carpet factory employs 50 workers, that is,
50 families earn their living through this factory.
Artsakh Rug flourishes in its efforts, and is dedicated to restore the traditional
armenian designs, revive their rooted spirits, and expose their splendor to
the masses.
